If you’re looking for an MLM business that promotes anti-aging, you’ve head is probably spinning. From veggie juices, to pills, to exotic berries and chocolate – take your pick!
ONE THING IS FOR SURE
The one sure thing is that antioxidants are a key to our health. They fight free radicals which multiply at astounding levels as we age. So what are free radicals? Free radicals are molecules that have an uneven number of electrons. So what? It makes us vulnerable, and free radicals attack living cells. So, if you lose a molecule or two or a hundred, free radicals come spiraling in creating all kinds of havoc. Ranging from inflammation, to diabetes, to heart disease, free radicals overwhelm the cells and take no prisoners. This is why fighting back with antioxidants is so important.
A PLETHORA OF PRODUCTS
If you simply follow the news you’re probably aware of the touted power of blueberries and chocolate (boy did a lot of us like to hear that one.). They fight disease as well as juice pills, drinks, and a wide range of other juices that profess to have remarkable antioxidant properties. And they’re probably all things we can benefit from. There’s just one problem.
THERE’S JUST ONE PROBLEM
What’s known as oxidative stress occurs when there is an imbalance between the production of free radicals and the system’s ability to readily detoxify these reactive substances. There are over 70,000 published studies establishing oxidative stress as a major contributing cause of disease. When they take over it’s why someone’s health can degenerate so quickly. So, what’s the problem? The problem is that most products being touted to combat oxidative stress can only neutralize free radicals on a 1 to 1 basis. No big deal? Wrong. The body produces 3 hundred septillion (3 followed by 26 0’s) disease related radicals a day. Hmm… sounds like we need some big guns.
POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS: A ONE MINUTE COURSE IN GENETICS
The genetic information stored in the strands of DNA in the nucleus of the cell; this information provides the blueprint for manufacturing all the proteins in the body. To really address the free radical issue, we have to start going after them at a GENETIC level. So, when you’re looking for products, study to see if they are going after free radicals at a genetic level. If not, you’re probably wasting your well earned money.
Those who are doing the science say that the Nrf2, which binds the the Antioxidant Response Element (ARE) regulates around 500 genes; it upregulates genes encoding anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory, and anti-fibrotic enzymes. Nrf2 has been called the “master regulator of antixodiant gene expression.” Currently, there is a product that addresses this very challenge.
Currently over 20 universities are studying the Nrf2 factor and in a study entitled “synergistic Induction of Heme Oxgenese- by the supplement Protandim,” published by the Free Radical Biology & medicine in 2009, and found it activated the Nrf2 in three different signaling pathways. Other peer reviewed studies can be read on http://www.pubmed.com from numerous universities when it comes to its impact on heart disease, inflammation, and even skin cancer.
It’s worth checking out. With breakthroughs in virtually every aspect of medicine, this proves to be one of the most promising, with science behind it, not just folklore, and a remarkable business opportunity.
