How Bitters Can Boost Fertility and Combat Unexplained Infertility

The first time I hear someone say that bitters can boost fertility and cure infertility, I thought it was unscientific. I dismiss the folk-remedy philosophy that bitters can make a woman conceive. Not until I started researching the causes of unexplained infertility. Bitters work so well because they boost fertility and combat infertility through different mechanisms. This range from boosting your overall health and toning reproductive organs specifically. Yes, bitters balance the hormones, tones the ovary and makes the ovary release healthy eggs.

The problem with many infertile patients is that they do not associate infertility with 'fertile nutrition.' Good nutrition is the foundation a healthy body. Remember a healthy ovary is to be found in a healthy body. When the ovary is healthy, it produces healthy egg (ovum) and healthy egg produces healthy pregnancy leading to the birth of a healthy baby.

How does bitters boost fertility? Well, bitters tone and tune-up the five pillars of health: mind and mood, ingestion, digestion, circulation, immune system.

Bitters stimulate the bitter receptors at the back of the tongue to shut down the craving for refined sugar. This in turn stimulates the vagus nerve (the 10th cranial nerve) responsible for release of digestive enzymes. Any time your digestion improves, your overall health improvements. Note also that sugar is the cause of 250 diseases including causing auto immunity and free radical damage which can retard the reproductive organisms including the ovary.

Bitters also helps the detoxification work of the liver and the kidneys. Estrogen is eliminated in the liver which is also responsible for balancing all reproductive hormones. The liver pushes to the kidneys the wastes that are water soluble to be eliminated through the urine. The force of the kidneys rules the reproductive organisms according to Chinese medicine. Detoxification also help the body to remove pollution of the antibodies that fight disease and initiate tissue repair and degeneration. This can boost the fertility of the ovaries and eliminate ovarian cysts and premature ovarian failure. Bitters have been known to correct irregular menstruation which is a sign of anovulation and hormonal imbalance.

Once infertility is diagnosed, stress tend to kick in. The body is not designed to handle excessive stress. Mental stress releases stress hormones which cause oxidation, immune depletion, inflammation and fibrosis. Bitters are adaptogens that helps the body cope with stress. Adaptogens tend to tone the internal organs and bring them back to normal physiological function.

Bitters also eliminate estrogen dominance by eliminating excess estradiol (the bad estrogen) while boosting the level of progesterone and testesterone secretion. Without hormonal balance, the ovary, the immune system and ovulation is thrown off balance, too. In fact hormonal imbalance causes majority of the women fibrosis diseases that have been blamed for unexplained infertility. These include uterine fibroids, anovulation, polycystic ovary disease, endometriosis, endometrial hyperplasia, adenomyosis, irregular periods, and luteal phase defect. Bitters helps eliminate growths or tumors including falopian tube blockade due to adhesions.

Specifically not only does bitters help mature eggs, they also help ovulation and propelling the released eggs to the falopian tube to be fertilized by the advancing spermatozoa. Note that once pregnancy test is positive, bitters are no longer needed.

The bitters that are effective (used in combination of other herbs) are gentian (called bitter root), bitter leaf (common in African-folk medicine), golden seal, dandelion greens and watercress. The Chinese bitters are a form of gentian or bitter root found in Europe.

You take bitters consistently for one month to regularize the menstrual periods and stop if period starts again. Then take for the second month and stop if pregnancy occurs. By then it is no longer necessary. If there is no pregnancy, take after your period is over for six days and stop just before ovulation starts. Continue the cycle if there is no pregnancy. It takes an average of two months to get pregnant with bitters.

Infertility and Fertility Treatment

Infertility is defined as a male’s or female’s inability or reduced biological ability to contribute to the conception of a child. More commonly, it is defined as the inability to become pregnant after 12 months of intercourse without birth control. Infertility may also refer to a woman’s inability to carry a pregnancy to full term.

Infertility affects about 1 in every of couples in their reproductive age. In the US, approx. 7% of married couples in which the woman was of reproductive age (2.1 million) reported they were not able to get pregnant after trying for one year (2002 National Survey of Family Growth).

In some cases, both the man and woman may be sub-fertile. In other cases, each partner is each fertile but the couple cannot conceive together without assistance. In approx. 1/3rd of the cases, the male is infertile, in 1/3rd the female is infertile, and in 1/3rd, it can be either one of them, or the cause is unknown. In about 15% of cases, investigation will show no abnormalities which can be detected by current methods.

Egg quality is also of critical importance, especially for women of advanced maternal age. Or it may be a question of the egg not being released at the optimum time for fertilization, or the sperm not being able to reach the egg, or fertilization may fail to occur.

If you are trying to get pregnant, and are considering a fertility treatment, don’t opt immediately for the most advanced and expensive Fertility Treatments, such as IVF, thinking you’ll get pregnant faster.

You have a number of Fertility Treatments available, which include: fertility drugs, surgery, IVF, GIFT, ZIFT, donor eggs, and surrogacy. In 85% to 95% of cases, Infertility can be treated with conventional Fertility Treatments, such as drug treatment. These solutions are more affordable and less invasive than some of the other options.

Here’s an overview of your Fertility Treatment options, ranked from the least to the most invasive:

Fertility drugs: These drugs can help get a female’s or males reproductive system and hormones in balance.

Artificial Insemination: Sometimes the male’s sperm needs help getting to the female’s egg. Placing a dose of sperm in your uterus at the proper time will improve one’s chances of getting pregnant.

Surgery: Some women have blocked fallopian tubes, endometriosis, fibroids, or ovarian cysts, or genetic defects. A minor surgery, performed with a laparoscope (a fiber-thin tube) can help diagnose the problem. However, more extensive surgery may be required.

Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART): ART can involve the hi-tech In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) or Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI), or in rarer cases, GIFT or ZIFT. In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) is a major treatment in infertility when other methods of ART have failed. It involves surgically removing eggs (ova) from a woman’s ovaries, fertilizing them with sperm in the laboratory, and returning them to the woman’s body. Both Zygote Intrafallopian Transfer and Gamete Intrafallopian Transfer are ART procedures, which involve removing the woman’s eggs, mixing them with the male’s sperm , and implanting them in the woman’s Fallopian tubes. With ZIFT, fertilization takes place outside the body, and with GIFT, fertilization takes place inside the body. Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI) is a procedure in which a single sperm (especially donor sperm) is injected directly into an egg.

Egg Donation: Occasionally, a woman may require to use a egg donor, depending on her age, and egg quality.

Methods of Home Teeth Whitening

Most people want to have bright, white teeth to display when they smile. It adds to their self-esteem and well being. People who do not want to use over the counter teeth whiteners purchased from a store nor want to pay for the high cost of having their dentist whiten their teeth are interested in a good home whitening method.

There are a few that have been used by people over the years. Use of table salt and lemon juice is an effective method of giving your teeth a good cleaning. Be sure to rinse your mouth with water after you finish to go get rid of the salt.

Another home whitening method is to rub an orange peel or lemon peel across just brushed teeth. The acid contained in both will have a bleaching effect.

Probably the most effective home whitening method is to use baking soda and water. Make the mixture of baking soda and water into a paste and brush your teeth just as you would with tooth paste. The abrasiveness of this mixture will give the same effect as the prophy paste used by dental hygienists. Another variation of the use of baking soda is to mix the baking soda with hydrogen peroxide. With a 50-50 mixture stir the baking soda and peroxide until you create a paste and brush your teeth. Be sure to rinse very well and do not swallow this mixture. If you accidently swallow the peroxide then drink at least a glass of water to dilute it in your stomach. All of these home whitening methods are most effective if you use a pre-rinse solution purchased at the pharmacy or market or you may use a pre-rinse made of baking soda and water.

There is no substitute for six month check-ups and regular cleanings at your dentist's office. When you do brush your teeth with the home mixtures we have talked about about sure to brush your tongue and the sides of your mouth to completely clean your teeth and oral cavity.

If you wish try these home whitening methods and you will probably get the desired white and bright smile you are seeking.

Roles of Veneers in Dentistry

There are many factors that can have an adverse impact on the quality of your smile, from tooth crookedness to discoloration to unsightly gaps. Whatever the cause, a less-than-perfect smile can dramatically affect your self-esteem, personality, and ability to communicate with others.

For many, dental veneers (often referred to as porcelain veneers) provide an ideal solution. Formed from ceramic, these custom-made, eggshell-thin covers are designed to mimic the look and feel of natural enamel. They are placed over the surface of teeth to conceal chips, gaps, cracks, or other problems that can jeopardize dental health or aesthetics. Dental veneers can provide an easy, painless way to achieve a bright, confident smile.

Problems Addressed by Porcelain Veneers

There are several different conditions that can be quickly and painfully processed by veneers:

Chipped Teeth: Teeth can chip for a variety of reasons, including stress-induced grinding, an accident or trauma, using your teeth for purposes that are not intended for, or a fraction that causes a gradual weakening. Regardless of the cause, chipped teeth can detract from the appearance of your smile while increasing the risk of discoloration, sensitivity, and decay.

Crooked Teeth: In addition to affecting the appearance of your teeth, crookedness can cause dental pain and inhibit good oral hygiene. Those who leave the problem untreated are more prone to tooth decay, tooth loss, and bad breath. It can also be difficult to chew properly with crooked teeth, increasing the chances of jaw misalignment.

Discolorations: The most obvious effect of discolored teeth (a wearing-down or dulling of surface enamel) is a dirty appearance, creating the implication of poor dental health. Noticeable stains on the surface of your teeth can make you look older than your age, while drawing more attention to other issues, such as gaps and crookedness. Varying degrees of discoloration can be caused by numerous factors:

– Genetic predisposition
– Prolonged exposure to certain foods or drinks such as coffee or tea
– Ingestion of or contact with of certain medicines
– Smoking cigars or cigarettes
– Nerve damage to a tooth during an accident or fall.

Gaps: Anyone who's ever had extra space between their teeth knows that gaps can have a dramatic impact on self-esteem. Those born with gaps often notice the problem worsening with age. They wonder if people are staring at the gap in their teeth or they find themselves related to talk or smile. In addition to affecting your confidence, the condition can also make it difficult to chew or speak.

Misshapen Teeth: Even if you have perfect dental health, just one misshapen tooth can cause your smile to look flawed or unhealthy.

All of the above: Many people do not have a single dental affliction. A combination of genetics, lifestyle choices, and normal wear and tear can create a set of unique circumstances.
In most cases, depending on the severity of these conditions, smiles can be aesthetically and functionally enhanced with the use of porcelain veneers.

Benefits of Dental Veneers

Porcelain veneers offer a number of advantages to today's dental patients:

A more natural look: With today's enhanced dental technology, ceramic veneers offer a high degree of translucence, making them essentially indistinguishable from your natural teeth.

Custom design and creation: Porcelain veneers are custom-matched to the color of your teeth. If you desire a whiter smile, veneers can be used in conjuction with whitening to create a dazzling smile. Veneers are designed specifically for your mouth, your lifestyle and your individual circumstances.

Quicker results: Unlike straightening with braces, tooth whitening systems, or complex dental bonding, veneers can be applied in just one or two visits, immediately achieving a bright, even smile.

Lower cost: Veneers are typically less expensive than other, multi-step, more complex
treatments including surgery.

Long-term protection: In addition to looking good, veneers are durable enough to strengthen weak or damaged teeth, potentially eliminating the need for a bridge, crown, or other, more invasive procedures. Also, if properly maintained, veneers can last several decades.

There are several different options and brands available for dental veneers, such as Lumineers. Before making a decision about what type or brand of veneer is best, contact a Cosmetic Dentist who is experienced in placing porcelain veneers. Ask the dentist to see examples of their work, such as before and after photographs where porcelain veneers were used. Ask if the dentist offers a no-fee consultation, and never be rushed into making a decision about your smile. You and the dentist should work collaboratively to come up with a treatment that fits your oral health needs, lifestyle and budget.

Dangers of Cosmetics

Hi there, are you a regular user of cosmetics? Do you know that there are certain dangers associated with the use of cosmetics? Just like there are pros and cons in everything you do, the use of cosmetics can lead to danger in some cases or just hazardous to health, if you are using the wrong type of cosmetics or you are using bad and harmful cosmetics.

First of all, there is a saying do not drink and drive. It is not good when you have drunk alcohol above the legal prescribed limit but decide to drive after that. Similarly, drivers should also know that the use of handphones is not safe for driving. I know you may have also seen Mr Bean wake up in the morning and brush his teeth, change into his work clothes (including putting on his pants and socks) while driving.

While this may seem quite out of this world and may not happen, I think putting on cosmetics while driving may seem to be quite a real thing, since there is some dangers associated with this and I would advise you to refuse from driving and putting on cosmetics at the same time!

Another danger of cosmetics is if you use cosmetics which has already turned bad and has turned bad and can not be used anymore. If your cosmetics smells funny or looks funny, ie the color has faded or instead of one color you now see two colors, it may be an indication that the cosmetics is not to be used anymore. Always remember to close your make-up containers tight when you are not using the make-up.

This will help to preserve the make up and the cosmetics. In addition, do store your cosmetics in a cool dry place. Do not leave your cosmetics in an area which is exposed to sunlight or constant heat. Sunlight and heat can kill the preservatives used in the cosmetics that are added to preserve it and to kill off fight bacteria. That said, if your car is parked under the hot sun for several hours, it is best not to keep your cosmetics in the car while you are not on the road.

Oh another point is never to share your cosmetics and make-up with other people. This is due to personal hygiene reasons and is simple common sense really. Just like you do not share your clothes, towels or personal toiletries with others, please also do not share your cosmetics also. Beware too when you try out samples at a departmental store and always use a new sponge to apply these cosmetics. Please also do not apply the cosmetics directly to your lips, eyes, etc. It is best just to test it out on the skin of your hands.

Best Skin Tag Remover Methods

If you're reading this article, you are probably looking for a skin tag remover. The internet is littered with different products claiming to be the best, but who do you trust? I think the best practice to use is to step back and evaluate all of the options using sound logic.

In developing the solutions, it is best to start with the cause of the problem. These growths are commonly associated with moles and warts but this could not be farther from the truth. For example, a wart is caused by a viral infection and the ensuing immune system reaction, a tag is usually caused by surface friction. The most common area for them to appear are in places that result in skin on skin friction. Eye lids, under the breasts, and in the armpits are all common places that a skin tag occurs ..

There is not a skin tag remover wonder product because one simply is not necessary. The growths carry virtually no risk of developing into something more serious than cosmetic blemish. That being said, the reality of the fact is that people care about cosmetic appearance and are looking for a skin tag remover.

Below are some of the skin tag remover options that are available.

Cauterization or Cryosurgery – These sound like cool futuristic tag remover surgeries but they are essentially using heat (cauterization) or cold (cryosurgery) to burn or freeze the blemish off. These are a very effetive skin tag remover mathed but should only be performed by a physician and then can be expensive.

Ligation – This logic behind this skin tag remover method, is essentially cutting off the blood supply to the affected area. Since these particular growths consist of living human tissue, it needs oxygen to continue to grow. An "at home" method of ligation is often referred to as the "duct tape method". This method involves using duct tape to cut off the oxygen supply to the affected area. The at home method typically proves ineffective as you have to seal off 100% of the air in order for it to work and it is difficult to keep the tape secure for any extended period of time.

Excision – This is using a scalpel as a skin tag remover by cutting it off. This is another method that could be tried at home but there are risks involved such as infection, scarring, and bleeding. All of the above methods (with the exception of the duct tape method) should only be performed by a physician.

Natural – As mentioned, these types of growths are harmless and will ever clear up by themselves. Understandably this can take some time and people are not anxious to wait for a deformity to fall off of their body. Any of the above procedures would have considered cosmetic and then probably not covered by insurance so they will be expensive, intrusive, and will not stop the problem from returning.
