Contact with even small amounts of some substances can cause skin allergies. Common causes of work-related skin allergies include acrylate glues (super glues), epoxies, textile dyes or resins, and latex.

Definition of Allergy skin test

Allergy skin test: Test done on the skin to identify the allergy substance (the allergen) that is triggering the allergic reaction.

A small amount of the suspected allergy-provoking substance is placed on the skin. The skin is then gently scratched through the small drop with a special sterile needle.

If the skin reddens and, more importantly, if it swells, then the test is read as positive and allergy to that substance is considered probable.

What to do: Consult a doctor who might prescribe a corticosteroid cream if the eczema is very persistent. Bathe in warm, rather than hot, water with an emollient and wear cotton next to the skin whenever possible. It can be helpful to identify triggers such as eggs or dairy foods and to see if eliminating them helps.

Dermatitis, or skin disease, is one of the most common problems that people have. Skin disease come s in many different forms and strike all different areas of the body. Most of these afflictions are not contagious, being the result of allergies and other conditions, but some, such as warts, can be spread. Three of the most common skin disease people contract today are warts, eczema, and contact dermatitis.

Warts are a viral infection of your skin. They are most often found on the soles of your feet and spread through walking barefoot in pools or in showers. These warts are known as plantar warts. Other than your feet, warts are also most commonly found on your hands, but can appear anywhere on your body in the right conditions. Thousands of different types of wart viruses are known to infect humans, but the good news is that you are not in danger of contracting them if you are not already susceptible to them.

Eczema is another common skin disease. In a person with eczema, the upper layers of the skin become inflamed. This produces dryness and rashes that become red, swollen, itchy, and sometimes even bleed ad ooze. The condition may cause temporary skin discoloration in the inflamed areas. There is no known cure for eczema, treatment for the disease is only meant to control the symptoms.

Contact dermatitis is a common skin reaction that is caused by a person’s exposure to a substance he is allergic to. It is a local rash and only affects the areas that came into contact with the substances the person is allergic to. The outer layers of the skin become inflamed, resulting in burning, itchy rashes. These rashes can take a few days to a few weeks to completely heal and only heal if the person no longer comes into contact with the allergen that caused the dermatitis in the first place.

Skin Rash – Is it Eczema?

We often get a little skin rash or our skin feels tight and itchy, but is it a case of Eczema or something else? Do you even know what Eczema is? Most people do not unless they are affected or know someone who is. It is not psoriasis. And again, if you do not have psoriasis, you would not know what that means either.

There are many different things that can cause itchy skin: bug bites, dry air, or contact with a poisonous plant, to name a few. But that is not Eczema and usually clears up within a few days without treatment, maybe sooner with soothing lotions and creams.

Symptoms of Eczema

The first sign of Eczema is itchy skin. The affected area then develops into a rash. The most common areas for Eczema to appear are on the face, knees, hands or feet, but can occur on other parts of the body as well. In most cases, this is where it stops. You have a bad rash that will just not go away. But it will go away with proper treatment. More severe Eczema can turn into very dry and thick, or scaly skin. Fair skinned people could see a more reddish appearance at first which will then turn to brown. Darker skinned people can see lighter patches on their skin or, in some cases, darker patches.

There are so many different types of skin abnormalities that only a doctor can diagnose what your condition could be. But there are also many ways to determine for yourself if it is Eczema, psoriasis, or something else and if you should consult a doctor. For example:

  • You have itchy skin: Is there any indication of a bug bite? In this case you will see a small puncture hole in the itchy area. Unless you have already scratched. Scratching spreads the infection and makes the puncture almost impossible to see, that is why it is extremely important to never scratch an itch! Have you been in contact with poison ivy, or poison oak? If the answer to these questions is ‘no’, then there might be something else going on.
  • Do you have a skin rash: Many things can cause a skin rash. Allergies are the number one cause. Poison ivy and poison oak are allergies. Your body is rejecting the poison and that is why a rash breaks out. Too much sun exposure can also cause a skin rash. Or, there may be a variety of other things you come into contact with that can cause an allergic reaction.

Eczema is not fatal, it is just annoying and may be embarrassing. Just remember, it is not your fault. You did not do anything to cause this. There are ‘experts’ that will try to tell you this is caused by eating too much potato chips, drinking too much soda pop, etc. But the truth is, Eczema, just like most other skin disorders, is hereditary. It is treatable with petroleum jelly, baby oil and other soothing lotions. You can also take a hot bath in salt water that will do wonders!

Dosage of Glutathione As an Antioxidant and For Whitening Purposes

Glutathione ( pronounced “gloota-thigh-own” ) also known as GSH is the body’s essential health AID –

  • Ex. 50kg male 50kg body weight x 10mg = 500 mg/day

Colour of Skin & Duration:

Medium brown skin – 1-3months

Dark brown skin – 3-6months

Black skin – 2 years or more

Note:
